The organ is located at the front of the church in a large gallery with a fine case in Spanish mahogany with five towers and four flats. Most of the pipes in the case date from 1841 and have decoration of a similar style to the Hill work at York Minster. A detached console is located near the front of the church, between the choir stalls, facing the communion rail. There are approximately 2,500 pipes.
The organ was installed by John Brown (1841) with additions by William Denman (1876), Brindley & Foster (1913), Summers & Barnes (1929), Wood Wordsworth (1967) and Principal Pipe Organs (1989, 1994).
