An afternoon workshop with John Bell, at York Central Methodist Church organised in conjunction with RSCM North and East Yorkshire.
John Bell is a hymn writer. A Church of Scotland minister, he is a member of the Iona Community, a broadcaster, and former student activist. He works throughout the world, lecturing in theological colleges in the UK, Canada and the United States, but is primarily concerned with the renewal of congregational worship at the grass roots level.
Over 160 tickets have now been sold, so the afternoon promises to be an uplifting celebration of singing together as well as an opportunity to learn new songs and the think about why we sing them. There will also be an opportunity to browse and buy various books and CDs from Wild Goose Publications.
Advance bookings are now closed, but a limited number of tickets will be available on the door. Please arrive at 1:30pm to avoid disappointment. Event begins at 2pm sharp. £8 per adult, including refreshments and music book to take home.
John Bell will also be preaching at Central during the morning service on Sunday 14th September 2014. All are welcome to join us for worship.
