Each summer we host a summer series of organ concerts. We’re proud of the instrument and enjoy hearing a a variety of talented organists play.
Everyone is welcome, and no admission fee is charged. A collection is taken at the end to which donations are welcome but not obligatory.

There will be a concert at Central this coming Saturday (25th May) at 6.30pm, featuring a number of choirs visiting from Norway alongside the York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir. This is part of a Scandinavian choral festival: we have been welcoming choirs from Norway for some years now at Central and it always gives us great pleasure to hear them sing. Over the last few weeks, volunteers organised by the Belfrey have been refurbishing part of the basement here at Central with a view to providing a suitable space for work with children and young people. Last night the group which is beginning to explore the relationship between our two churches met in the basement: here are some pictures of what it looks like now. We at Central owe a debt of thanks to the Belfrey for all the hard work they’ve put in so far; and we rejoice in their friendship.
